Frontend Web Development Intern (Remote)

Role Overview

The Frontend Web Development Intern will support the design, development, and improvement of Qavaa Innovate’s web platforms and digital experiences.

This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or aspiring developers who want to develop their frontend skills while working on real projects.

The intern will collaborate with designers, developers, and project teams to create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces.

This position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

  • Build and improve responsive web interfaces.
  • Convert UI/UX designs and prototypes into functional web pages.
  • Develop reusable frontend components.
  • Implement user-friendly interfaces following modern web development practices.
  • Assist in integrating frontend applications with APIs.

User Experience & Quality

  • Ensure websites and applications work properly across different devices and browsers.
  • Identify and fix basic UI issues and bugs.
  • Improve website performance and usability.
  • Follow best practices for clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with frontend developers, backend developers, and designers.
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and development discussions.
  • Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Contribute to project documentation when needed.

Learning & Growth

  • Learn modern frontend technologies and development workflows.
  • Receive feedback and mentorship to improve technical skills.
  • Explore new tools and technologies relevant to web development.
  • Develop professional experience in a real software development environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of responsive web design principles.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively.
  • Strong interest in frontend development and web technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, or another frontend framework.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Experience using CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs.
  • Experience creating personal projects, websites, or applications.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design tools such as Figma.
  • Interest in educational technology, nonprofit initiatives, or social impact projects.
