AI Innovation Challenge 2026
A digital innovation challenge open to girls and young women across the world. Identify a real problem in your community, use AI tools to design a practical solution, and submit a prototype and a 60-second video pitch to a judging panel.
Everything You Need to Know
Eligibility Criteria
- Must register for the Ignite Your Future 2026 event.
- Must be present either online or in person on the event day.
- Open to girls and young women aged 15–24 years.
- Must have access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer with an internet connection.
- Must be ready to submit a 60-second video pitch before the submission deadline.
Challenge Timeline
Launch & Registration
Registration opens on 3 August 2026. Participants receive the Challenge Guide, rules, AI learning resources, and supporting materials.
AI Learning & Orientation
Workshops, learning sessions, and orientation on AI tools, prototype development, submission requirements, and judging criteria.
Innovation & Prototype Development
A two-month build period with mentoring, prototyping, business modelling, and presentation preparation.
Final Submission, Judging & Showcase
Submissions close 3 October 2026. Finalists showcase at the International Day of the Girl Child 2026 event, where winners are announced.
