Join Us in Renovating the Computer Lab at Government Girls Secondary School, Big Qua, Cross River State, Nigeria
Every girl deserves the chance to dream, learn, and create, but at Government Girls Secondary School, Big Qua, those dreams are being held back by the walls of an empty computer lab.
Here, in one of the community’s most vibrant all-girls schools, classrooms are filled with eager learners who long to discover the world of technology. Yet, for many of them, the computers meant to unlock that future are broken, outdated, or missing entirely.
The Challenge
The school’s ICT lab, which should be a space of exploration and innovation, sits mostly silent. Out of 21 monitors, only 8 still work; most keyboards and mice are broken, and there’s no internet connection. With eight students sharing one computer and no chairs to sit on, hands-on learning is nearly impossible. To make the lab functional again, the school urgently needs 8 new desktop towers, 8 monitors, and essential repairs.
Our Mission
We are on a mission to revive the ICT lab and create a space where every girl can learn and explore technology hands-on.
Our plan includes:
Repairing damaged computer monitors
Providing 8 new desktop towers and 8 new monitors
Replacing broken keyboards and mice
Setting up internet access for digital learning
Supplying 50 new lab chairs and tables for comfort and collaboration
With these upgrades, the lab will once again become a place where curiosity meets opportunity — where girls can code, design, research, and dream without limits.
Program Cost (Phase 1)
Starter

- Repair of 13 broken desktop monitors
- Procurement of 15 USB keyboards and 15 optical mice
- Procurement of 8 new desktop CPU towers
- Procurement of 8 additional desktop monitors
- Fabrication of 32 lab chairs
- Installation of wireless internet connectivity
- Fabrication of 1 standard lab table
